Mater artium necessitas

“The mother of invention is necessity”

At any given time in history, an invention is conceived out of necessity to solve an individual problem. The current pace at which sustainable energy technology sources have grown is almost “light speed.” To truly realize a solution can confidently provide an answer requires patience, skill, and forethought. BE-Wind, LLC has accomplished this goal and has introduced the world to the most efficient dual vertical axis wind turbine, Evolution Of Wind (EOW).

Whiteleaf Energy Systems, Inc. is proud to announce its partnership with BE-Wind, LLC to provide manufacturing and assembly support, training, certification, and installation. Whiteleaf has over 35 years of electrical construction experience, 12 years of experience in the energy commodity industry, and a vast global sales network to expand the growing small wind market.  Whiteleaf is based on Cape Cod, Massachusetts making it an ideal location for testing and promoting a renewable energy source that is not only efficient but a “kinetic work of art that produces energy.”

BE-Wind® Turbines combine decades of wind energy experience with aerospace engineering to create a robust, deployable, and dependable energy system.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many would I need to power my house? My electric bill is about $100 a month.

The EOW-200-2 will cover 75% of an average 1200 sq. ft. house in New England with average 8-10 mph winds.

Can we finance them?

Financing will be available in Fall 2020.

How do most people pay for them?

The current payment structure is 30% down and 70% at time of delivery.

How many kWh can they produce in a day?

It depends upon the average wind for the area. At a daily average 10 mph wind, an EOW-200-2 produces estimated 10.06 kWh

Can we power an apartment complex with this? If so, how would you suggest setting it up?

The turbines could provide enough power for an apartment complex using Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with a solar hybrid system. We would feel comfortable with either offsite generation or rooftop installations.

How much wind do we need to generate power?

Between 3-5 mph.

How long do they last?

The structure and blades are a 50-year life cycle. The generators and electrical components are conservatively 20 years.

Can I put them in my yard? What if I’m close to a lake?

Yes, you can put them in your yard according to local building codes and zoning laws. They can be installed within 20 feet of the property line and no less than 20 feet from a building. Locating the turbines close to a lake would depend on conservation department guidelines.

Where else are these located in the United States?

Texas, Oklahoma, New York, Florida, Missouri

Is there a warranty?

Yes, there is a 10 year warranty.

How much do they weigh?

EOW-100-2 = 290 lbs.
EOW-200-2 = 470 lbs.
EOW-300-2 is currently in redesign. The current units are all aluminum and weigh 675 lbs.
